Critic's Pick VISUAL ART "Artists Go Lightly" The inaugural event of Temporary Autonomous Museum(s), a non-site-specific, project-based collective of artists, educators, and gallerists, "Artists Go Lightly" takes as its first theme perhaps the second-most-difficult issue in any artist's life: stable housing. (The first being, of course, how to make a living as an artist.) Held in the emptied former home of two artists, this one-day fundraising action–installation features original artwork by more than 80 emerging and mid- and late-career artists, with proceeds benefiting the San Francisco Tenants Union. The day will be documented, and the house's former tenants will move on to pollinate elsewhere, changing a neighborhood right before the condos are built.
